Smalley is a world leader in the manufacturing and development of Spirolox® Retaining Rings, Constant Section Rings and Wave Springs.

Wave springs reduce heights by 50%, with equal force/deflection as standard coil springs and fit in tight radial/axial spaces. Smalley wave springs are coiled on edge from flattened wire; not stamped. Over 4,000 wave springs are stocked in dimensions from 1/4" to 16″ in both carbon and stainless steel.

Spirolox retaining rings are interchangeable with snap rings and require no special tooling for removal. Unlike die-stamped circlips / retaining rings, Smalley Spirolox Retaining Rings and Snap Rings are coiled on edge to the exact diameter required. Over 6,000 standard rings are stocked in carbon and stainless steel in dimensions from 1/4" to 16".

Custom designs of wave springs and retaining rings are available using Smalley's No-Tooling-Charge™ manufacturing process. This allows for fast prototyping and economical production. Custom products are available from .118" to 120" (3 mm to 3000 mm diameters) in over 40 material options.
