Porex Announced as 2019 Outstanding Corporate Innovator Award Finalist by the Product Development and Management Association
Porex, a global leader in porous solutions, has been selected as a finalist for the Outstanding Corporate Innovator (OCI) Award. Following a rigorous testing process required of all nominees, Porex joins other leading innovators such as 3M, Land O’ Lakes Inc, the John I Haas: Barth-Haas Group and The Gorilla Glue Company in the hopes of taking home the OCI Award title, which recognizes companies that create and capture long-term value through product and service innovation.
“Porex was selected for the Outstanding Corporate Innovator Award as a result of its revolutionary processes and learnings that have sustained considerable achievements,” said Suzanne Thompson, OCI Selection Committee Chair. “We are happy to recognize Porex’s innovative capabilities among our exclusive group of finalists.”
Presented by the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) and returning for its 32nd year, the OCI Award is the only global innovation award that recognizes sustained and quantifiable business results from new products and services. Previous winners of PDMA’s prestigious award represent a group of global corporations widely recognized and respected for their innovation success.
“We are honored to be considered for PDMA’s Outstanding Corporate Innovator Award,” said Avi Robbins, vice president of global product development and R&D at Porex. “This award represents the hard work and dedication at the heart of Porex and the continued commitment of our global team to design and engineer innovations that make the world safer, healthier and more productive. We are thrilled to be recognized for our efforts in disciplined practices and processes that have resulted in quantifiable innovation achievement.”
After initial review, Porex and the other award nominees were subjected to an extensive screening process consisting of on-site examinations at each company’s location. The 2019 winner will join 56 organizations previously honored with an OCI Award. The award will be presented to the winner at the 2019 PDMA Competitive Edge: Disruption by Design Conference on Nov. 4 in Orlando, Florida, where the winning company will also share its best practices during the event.
