Harding Energy Inc., located in Norton Shores, Michigan, is a designer and manufacturer of custom battery and charger systems. Harding Energy was the 3rd company in the world to obtain a license from Energy Conversion Devices (ECD) to manufacture and distribute NiMH batteries and battery assemblies. Today, with more than 28 years of experience, Harding Energy has produced innovative custom battery packs and chargers for a wide range of applications including: portable medical equipment, handheld electronics, safety, security, construction and military.
Our cell selection is unsurpassed as one of the largest with production capabilities exceeding 5,000,000 units per month. In addition to NiMH, Harding Energy offers Lithium Ion, Lithium Polymer, Charging Systems and Smart Boards.
Harding Energy's design team uses the latest in mechanical and electronic design tools. We optimize reliability, safety, and manufacturability of your battery giving you the most cost effective and dependable solution. We provide CAD drawings and prototypes for your review, approval, and pre-production development.

Harding Energy's product quality and reliability are paramount in the design and manufacturing of battery packs and chargers. Harding Energy employees take great pride in our ISO 9001 Certified Quality System. In addition to consistently building defect free products, our engineering team is trained in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to enhance the reliability of our products through better design. We also use our Maccor Testing Laboratory to test packs under simulated “real world” conditions to assure they will operate properly in the field. An ISO 9001: 2008 & ISO 13485 : 2003 registered company, Harding's Quality assurance and control procedures include, Incoming and outgoing inspections, Computer controlled application testing, Controlled drawings and procedures, Internal & quarterly external audits, Customer visits/audits, Supplier Reviews and Continuous Improvement.
