Teleflex Medical OEM, a leading manufacturer of micro-diameter tubing, specialty wire, and devices used throughout the healthcare industry, is announcing an expansion to its Trenton, Georgia facility. The project adds 16,000 square feet to the facility, which will house a renovated wire development area; an expanded, state-of-the-art film-cast tubing center; and support functions. Increased domestic and international demand for Teleflex Medical OEM’s innovative medical products led to the need for increased capacity. The expansion is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2021.
The devices and components produced in Trenton, Georgia have been used in drug and stent delivery catheter shafts, endoscopes, electrophysiology and diagnostic catheters, neurovascular devices, cardiac ablation devices, internal vascular pressure sensors, and pain management ablation devices.
Teleflex Medical OEM has a global network of facilities for the development and contract manufacture of diagnostic and interventional catheters; extrusions; micro-diameter tubing; medical wire; sheath/dilator sets; sutures and performance fibers; and bioabsorbable sutures, yarns, and resins. In addition, there are three EPIC Medtec® Centers for rapid development of devices for next-generation medical procedures.
