New facility to expand global capacity and deliver next-generation medical device manufacturing capabilities, opening in 2026.

Chonburi, Thailand - Quasar Medical, a global leader in the manufacturing of interventional and complex minimally invasive devices, has officially broken ground on its newest manufacturing facility in Thailand. Slated to open early 2026, the new site represents a major expansion of Quasar’s global footprint and a bold investment in next-generation medical device manufacturing capabilities.

This strategic expansion reinforces Quasar’s commitment to supporting global OEM customers with enhanced micro-assembly capabilities, streamlined technology transfer pathways, and rapid ramp-up opportunities.

Building on the success of its first Thailand facility, established in 2021, this will be Quasar’s second site in the country. The original 86,000-square-foot facility has become a cornerstone of the company’s global operations, featuring ISO Class 8 cleanrooms and advanced micro-assembly infrastructure.

The new Thailand facility will serve as one of Quasar’s seven Centers of Medical Device Excellence, supporting the production of micro-assembly devices used across a variety of therapeutic areas. Designed for flexibility and scale, the facility will offer automation-integrated processes, high-mix high-volume capacity, and enhanced cleanroom infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of global MedTech innovators.

“This groundbreaking is another growth milestone in our journey to support the future of medical innovation,” said Alex Wallstein, CEO of Quasar Medical. “With our new facility in Thailand, we’re not only diversifying our global footprint—we’re deepening our commitment to delivering precision, scalability, and speed to our customers.”

“Our new facility is being designed from the ground up to deliver excellence in every sense—from operational agility and smart warehousing to scalable micro-assembly and advanced process controls,” said Aviel Bohnik, COO of Quasar Medical. “It’s an investment in both our technology and our people.”

Set on a 205,000-square-foot plot, the facility will add nearly 140,000 square feet of new manufacturing space. Strategically located just one hour from Bangkok International Airport and close to major seaports, the site will further strengthen Quasar’s global supply chain positioning while supporting long-term scalability and sustained growth.

Over the next five to seven years, the new facility is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs, strengthening Quasar’s partnership with the local labor market and supplier ecosystem.

“This expansion is not only a testament to our confidence in the Thai ecosystem—it’s a significant investment in the region’s future,” added Bohnik. “We’re proud to contribute to sustainable economic growth and create opportunities for local talent.”
