Lynxeo Strengthens Its Leadership in Medical Microcabling with Expanded Production Capacity

Lynxeo, a French leader in advanced cabling solutions, continues to strengthen its position in the medical device industry with the expansion of its Draveil site near Paris, dedicated to the Newsense® range of medical microcables.

The new ISO 13485 certified facility reflects Lynxeo’s commitment to French manufacturing excellence and to the development of ultra-miniaturized, high-performance cables that comply with ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards.

With nearly 2,000 employees across 10 countries, Lynxeo meets a wide range of cabling needs, primarily in the field of electrification.

The French group also serves medical device manufacturers, relying on the expertise and know-how of its teams based in Draveil, near Paris. This site produces Newsense microcables, used in minimally invasive surgery and medical imaging applications, in compliance with the ISO 10993 biocompatibility standard.

Featuring conductors with diameters as small as 20 microns, these microcables are used in transcatheter interventions for cardiovascular electrophysiology, as well as in monitoring probes and endoscopes.

To meet the growing demand in the medical microcable market, Lynxeo invested €4.5 million in 2022 at its Draveil site, with the goal of doubling its production capacity.

The market for medical cables used in minimally invasive surgery is experiencing strong growth, with an expected annual increase of 5% over the next five years.

Thanks to this investment, the group has expanded its Newsense cable offering with a new ISO 13485-certified facility. Lynxeo thereby reaffirms its commitment to manufacturing in France, particularly for products requiring a very high level of technical expertise, as is the case in the medical device sector.

The Newsense microcables, compliant with the most stringent quality standards, are produced using machines specially designed and built by Lynxeo’s engineering teams, with the constant goal of pushing the limits of miniaturization.

These machines, unavailable on the market, give the group a significant competitive advantage. They combine high-speed, efficient production with the assurance of exceptional reliability and quality, thanks to 100% in-line optical control technology.
