LUXILON-Specialty Materials manufactures multifilament and monofilament yarns used in permanent medical implants, such as sutures, hernia and urological mesh, catheters, and other implantable devices. The company makes these filaments from PA (nylon), PP, polyester, and fluoropolymers. LUXILON custom manufactures these fibers and also does cooperative R&D and partnership research with its customers.
