FOBA’s M-Series laser marking workstations to be presented at AMB in Stuttgart
July 07, 2016
Selmsdorf/Stuttgart, July 2016 – The marking and identification of metal surfaces with codes and brand and traceability marks is an essential part of the production process in most industries. To ensure complete product or part traceability, manufacturers need to comply with international labelling standards and regulations. Laser marking offers high quality, permanently persistent and safely traceable marking results.
FOBA Laser Marking + Engraving, an internationally leading manufacturer of marking laser systems and workstations with integrated vision, shows the benefits of “HELP” (Holistic Enhanced Laser Process) which is a closed-loop vision-based marking system. HELP is not only capable of verifying the product but also the marked content and the proper positioning before, during and after laser inscription. Thus it guarantees an efficient, close to zero-defect marking, and scrap can be reduced by up to 80 percent. Automotive industry, medical devices manufacturers and mechanical engineering companies benefit from HELP’s outstanding efficiency, low defection rates and continuously high marking quality.
At AMB in Stuttgart, FOBA’s M-Series laser marking workstations with the build-in patented vision system IMP (Intelligent Mark Positioning) – the heart of the HELP process – will be presented from September 13 to 17, 2016. During live demo sessions, visitors can experience how HELP verifies production parts before marking, ensures the right positioning via automatic mark alignment and validates the labeling by reading out and checking its contents (OCV Optical Character Verification, mark verification and code reading). FOBA’s M1000 and M2000 laser marking stations will be used to demonstrate efficient and safe laser marking applications on various metals like steel or titanium.
FOBA’s flexible, efficient laser marking systems solve demanding challenges in product and parts marking:
- Reliable marking processes and constantly high marking quality increase productivity.
- Flexible use with changing product cycles and small batches
- The compact system design is predestined for flexible and fast integration into production lines.
- Permanent, reliably legible marks and code-reading function enable easy traceability.
