With the colorPol ® technology uniformly oriented, elongated silver nanoparticles are generated near the surface of sodium silicate glasses. The silver particles cause wavelength- and polarization-dependent absorption of incident radiation. This non-polarized light is linearly polarized, already polarized light blocked or transmitted according to the orientation. Wavelength range, contrast and transmittance of colorPol ® polarizers are set by technological parameters.
