Bern Optics, Inc. has developed special expertise producing micro-miniature optical components for medical instrumentation: singlet lenses (with combinations of plano, concave or convex surfaces), achromats, windows, mirrors, prisms, apertures, balls and more. They can be produced as small as 0.20 mm, some the size of a grain of salt. Bern Optics components are used in endoscopic medical devices, as well as other optical instrumentation where precision and high quality are required. Created from optical and filter glasses, they can be ground and polished in a variety of difficult configurations, in prototype or volume quantities.
