Tekni-Plex Medical to exhibit full array of compounds and tubing solutions for medical device applications at MD&M West

Wayne, Pa. (January 23, 2020) — Tekni-Plex Medical, a Tekni-Plex business, will be offering a full array of compounds and tubing solutions for medical device applications at MD&M West, February 11-13, Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California, Booth 3019. Tekni-Plex Medical will be showcasing products from its three brands Colorite (compounds), Natvar and Dunn (tubing).

Tekni-Plex recently announced the formation of its Tekni-Plex Medical business unit to facilitate the supply of mission-critical, high-value components, materials, and solutions to medical device manufacturers worldwide. Medical device companies will now have dedicated sales personnel that can assist them across all product lines to provide better and faster solutions.

“Our products will be shown together for the first time under the Tekni-Plex Medical banner at MD&M West. We are excited to show medical device companies how our globally-integrated operations will enable us to provide better and faster compound and tubing solutions for their unique applications,” said Steve Penn, senior vice president, sales and marketing, and interim head of Tekni-Plex Medical.

The Colorite product line—including PVC and TPE medical-grade compounds—has been engineered to deliver solutions that meet specific product objectives. Colorite also formulates custom compounds to meet specific medical application requirements.

Natvar medical-grade tubing is used for a wide range of medical device applications including intravenous therapy, respiratory, renal/dialysis, anesthesia, diagnostic and surgical equipment. This includes multilayer and multi-lumen tubing, as well as a range of value-added options including tapered, striped, thermally-coiled and special profile products.

Dunn precision tubing is known for its tightest possible tolerances and the smallest walls. These tubes are used for minimally invasive delivery systems for the cardiovascular, electrophysiology, neurovascular, gastrointestinal/endoscopy, structural heart and interventional radiology medical markets. Products include single and multi-lumen, coextruded, striped or braided tubing. The Dunn product line also produces acetal mandrels for manufacturing minimally invasive catheter shafts.
