Tekni-Plex Medical names Ian Kenny as its new global head of products and technology

Wayne, Pa. (February 25, 2020) — Tekni-Plex Medical, a Tekni-Plex business, has named Ian Kenny as its new global head of products and technology.

Tekni-Plex recently announced the formation of the Tekni-Plex Medical business unit to facilitate the supply of mission-critical, high-value components, materials, and solutions to medical device manufacturers worldwide. The new operating unit will offer products and services formerly supplied separately by its Colorite, Natvar and Dunn businesses.

“Ian will drive development of new solutions-driven products reflecting our commitment to deep customer engagement, innovation and quality. His decades of experience helping medical device companies find solutions for their unique product requirements make him the ideal person for this critical position,” said Steve Penn, senior vice president, sales and marketing, and interim head of Tekni-Plex Medical.

Kenny joined Tekni-Plex in 1996 as part of Colorite. He was appointed managing director in 2000 and was named global managing director in 2010 of that operation. Previously, Kenny held various senior engineering, technical and business development positions with Boxmore PLC (now WestRock) and Unidare PLC. He holds an executive Master of Business Administration and a B.S. degree with honors in mechanical engineering, both from Queens University, Belfast.
