Danielson, CT, USA — As part of SPIROL International Corporation's commitment to continuous improvement, SPIROL is pleased to announce that they have made a minor change to the detailed configuration of the knurl on their brass Inserts that will result in improved performance in plastic assemblies. This modification was made to reduce the chances of raw material variations adversely affecting the quality of the knurl and to optimize production rates. This change was part of a collaborative effort that included raw material, tooling, and performance considerations. The primary consideration for any change was that the Insert must install and perform as expected in the same hole so that customers would not be impacted. Testing has proven that torque performance meets or exceeds that of the previous knurl configuration.
