Gabriele, nationally recognized for his work in biomedical research and development, will head the company’s activity in building strategic relationships with academia, research institutions, and surgeon groups.
Gabriele brings to Secant Medical 30 years of scientific and industrial innovation and experience in advanced biomedical technologies, including polymers, photo-imaging, fiber optics, and bone adhesives.

Gabriele serves as chief conservation scientist for the U. S. National Library of Medicine, a unit of the National Institutes of Health. He holds master of science degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (Technology Management) and Johns Hopkins University (Biochemistry).
