CARY, NC (Jul. 30, 2010) — In conjunction with Sub-Zero Inc. winning the 2010 Progressive Manufacturing 100 award, SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, has been inducted to the Technology Partner Hall of Fame by Managing Automation magazine.
SAS earned the Technology Partner Hall of Fame mantle for having submitted 20 or more winning customers to the Progressive Manufacturing 100 (PM 100) awards program since its beginning in 2005. With this honor, SAS joins the ranks of other manufacturing industry leaders also recognized for their ongoing success with customers around the world.
"Sub-Zero reduced costs by $4 million using SAS® software and services to improve customer service and quickly identify and deal with product issues," said Jeff Moad, Managing Automation's Executive Editor. “This made a big impression on Progressive Manufacturing Award judges.”
The PM 100 recognizes 100 projects that have achieved distinction in at least one of eight core disciplines considered critical to business success: Business Model Mastery, Customer Mastery, Supply Network Mastery, Data & Integration Mastery, Innovation Mastery, Training & Education Mastery, Leadership and Operational Excellence. Sub-Zero was chosen as a finalist in the Customer Mastery category for its Emerging Issues Project, a system SAS helped create to proactively spotlight warranty claims and resolve them months faster to preserve profits, brand equity and customer satisfaction.
An independent judging panel chaired by Managing Automation Media Editor-in-Chief David R. Brousell reviewed project nominations. Winners were honored at the Progressive Manufacturing Summit 2010 at The Breakers Hotel and Resort in Palm Beach, FL. More than 200 manufacturing technology executives attended the event.
