Ronkonkoma, NY, October 12, 2010 – Qosina is pleased to announce the addition of two new One-Handed Hemostasis Valves to their large selection of Valves. Part number 80328 has an internal diameter that accepts up to 7 French and features an easy push-pull mechanism allowing a single-handed process to open and close the valve. Part number 80329 accepts up to 9 French and also features a push-pull mechanism to open and close the valve. In addition, this valve can also be closed the traditional way by turning the cap 3 times to seal. Once it is sealed in this manner, the valve has a lock feature, where it cannot be re-opened via the push-pull method. This provides the valve with an additional way for securing its position.
These valves are made of polycarbonate and silicone and feature a rotating male luer lock and female luer lock side port. The side port is used to flush out the line or to check pressure.
