Augmented Reality Interfaces: How Are You Testing Their Usability?
The Role of Usability Testing in Augmented Reality Device Development, featuring Olivia Ford, Lead UX Designer of HSD. Olivia will be discussing how Augmented Reality is affecting medical device user interface development. This presentation will explore opportunities and challenges in replacing traditional GUI interaction with AR. Case Studies will be used to illustrate current methodologies in UX design thinking, and human factors methods for testing AR interfaces to accelerate and advance the product development process and validate end-user needs.
Ford will explore such topics in the upcoming BIOMEDevice Boston Center Stage presentation, “The Role of Usability Testing in Augmented Reality Device Development,” on Wednesday, April 18 at 1:00 pm. She'll also offer a case study on testing AR interfaces that would be used in the Microsoft HoloLens headset.
