NovoSci Names Brent Jarrell to Position of
 Quality Engineer


Former Cyberonics Clinical Engineer Will Oversee
NovoSci’s Quality Systems

            CONROE, TX: May 11, 2011 – NovoSci Corporation, a provider of contract supply chain services for disposable medical devices, has named Brent Jarrell to a newly created position of Quality Engineer.

            Mr. Jarrell, formerly Clinical Engineer at Houston medical device company Cyberonics, will be in charge of managing NovoSci’s quality systems and technical support for its contract manufacturing, assembly and ethylene oxide sterilization operations. The newly created position of Quality Engineer is part of NovoSci’s expansion of its contract sterilization and custom assembly services for disposable medical device products.

            Before joining NovoSci, Mr. Jarrell provided clinical and technical support for a therapeutic nerve stimulation medical device for Houston-based Cyberonics.  His duties at Cyberonics included root cause analysis, project validations, corrective and preventative actions, and determining required regulatory reporting decisions.  

            Prior to Cyberonics, Mr. Jarrell held several professional part-time positions while completing his education including Biomedical Flight Controller Assistant with Wylie Laboratories, where he performed detailed review and updating of Crew Health Care System Hardware operating and maintenance procedures used on board the Space Station.

            Mr. Jarrell holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.
