Perkasie, Penna. – April 1, 2014 – At this year’s Society for Biomaterials Annual Meeting in Denver, April 16-19, 2014, Secant Medical will exhibit its research-grade resin, Regenerez™.The technical team will be available in booth #508 at the Colorado Convention Center to discuss the physical and chemical properties of the bio-elastomer, which can be tuned for a variety of in vivo applications.
Secant Medical’s research teamwill be presenting a poster discussing the rheological properties of Regenerez, which is the bio-elastomer poly(glycerol sebacate). Rheology provides the ability to probe the viscoelastic and macromolecular properties of polymeric materials. This understanding affords the ability to better design poly(glycerol sebacate) constructs to match the properties of natural tissue, thus decreasing the problems associated with compliance mismatch. The team will be available in Exhibit Hall C on Wednesday, April 16, 7:00 pm– 8:30 pm and Friday, April 18, 1:15 pm–2:45 pm to answer any questions.
